Updates on the Mijas artist book project

Mijas book project

Over christmas I visited the south of Spain for the first time. Whilst over there we took a trip to a small town in the mountains called Mijas. The town was beautiful, and I spent most of my time taking pictures of all the winding narrow streets and striking traditional architecture. After returning home I decided to base a project on the hours that I spent there, and try and recreate the sense of excitement I felt. The project so far will be an artists book using drawings, photographs and print. There maybe more additions to the project so keep your eyes peeled. Here's a taster of the cover, inspired by some of the objects we bought there.

Creative design collective OWT are producing some wonderful things at the moment, as well as lending a helping hand to up and coming designers. I was lucky enough to have my work featured in their art zine, which they release every month. They urge creatives from all over the North West area to submit their creative ideas in response to a single word theme. Whether it be a piece of writing, photography, graphic design or Illustration. And now for something different...

Well hello there. It's been a while since posting anything on here. I've been extremely busy with new editorial designs, learning web scripting in order to maintain my website amongst many other things. The new website will be posted shortly. In the mean time I have some new Illustrations for everyone to take a look at. Firstly a possible T shirt design inspired by the month of Movember. I have also created some christmas card designs, which hopefully should grace the shop section of my website.

A piece decided to have a play around with, after deciding I wanted a bit more line work and drawing. So I decided to print the food in the composition and work over them with line. Not sure which looks best yet though.

Delayed Happy New Year!

Right ok. I haven't posted since June, so there's a lot to be catching up with. Firstly I am pleased to announce I have recently signed a contract to be a part of the Inky Illustration Agency. An up and coming agency based in London. So watch this space, and hopefully posts of commission work will soon follow. I have revamped my website, which has more of a professional look now. I am also in the process of working on the editorial side of my work, which is in my opinion considerably lacking. So happy new year to all. Lets hope it goes well.
